ABOUT US

Getting a little older, missing football? Why not relive past success and play Walking Football?

This highly successful community programme was originally created back in 2016 with funding from the National League Trust and our Community partner Dacorum Age UK.

Since its inception it has expanded beyond our widest hopes, with all the physical, social and mental health benefits available to all in Dacorum and the surrounding area. Since 2020 we have become a self funding members club with members in their 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, so you are never too old!

The club run three training sessions each week. These are at our home venue at:

Focus Community Arena, Hemel Hempstead Town FC, Vauxhall Road, Hemel Hempstead HP2 4HW:

Mondays

12:00pm - 1:00pm

(Generally Over 60s & 70s)

Wednesdays

6:00pm - 7:00pm

(Over 50s & 65s only)

Fridays

12:00pm -1:00pm

(Generally Over 60s & 70s)

In addition to the training sessions, the club take part in competitive fixtures in the Walking Football National Cup and a more local competition in the Middlesex FA - West Region. In these competitions we send teams at Over 50s, 60s and 65s age groups.

We also compete in the Thames Valley Walking Football League, in which we have the Over 65s age group.

Why not come along? The sessions are held in a fun and friendly environment with a warm up, training games and a cool down - everything is done in a professional manner!
